Title: Privilege of Choice
Prompt/Summary: This is my long-overdue [livejournal.com profile] help_pakistan fic, for the very very patient [livejournal.com profile] inyron. She wanted a scenario in which John was forced to choose between his children.
Characters: John, Sam, Dean
Rating: PG13
Wordcount: 8,619
Disclaimer: I tried to negotiate them away from Sera, but she had this death-grip on Sam and she kind of snarled at me, so I backed off.
Warnings: No major warnings, no spoilers. Pre-series, teen!chesters.
Neurotic Author's Note #1: This one was a beast to write. I've never really understood John to my satisfaction, and I'm not sure I did him justice. I think he was a man caught in an impossible situation who was forced to compromise so many of his principles that, in the end, he no longer recognized himself. I may try to write him more, if only to try again to wrap my head around him. [livejournal.com profile] inyron, I am so sorry this was late!
Neurotic Author's Note #2: Because this was so late, I decided to post it unbeta'd. Please be forgiving if you find any massive errors, 'kay?

Writing is hard!

I am late on my [livejournal.com profile] help_pakistan fic, because I decided to write a John POV and it's HARD. Gah. John is a MYSTERY to me and I live in stark, drooling admiration of writers who can wrap their minds around him. Also, wee!chester fic is not my forte. I can do it, but it's not my preferred playground.

Yay, challenges.

Okay, folks! Bidding for [livejournal.com profile] help_pakistan has been extended to tomorrow. Now's your chance to bid either on me or any of the other lovely fanfic/fanvidders/fanartists/podficcers/sundry who are offering up their time and talent for the cause.

My thread, just in case.

Bidding ends in two days, so I thought I would post a helpful reminder that I'm offering a fic up for grabs!

Mind you, all you awesome folks have already offered waaaaay more money than I was expecting (have I mentioned how awesome you are?), so it's all good, but you never know!

Okay, it's a good cause, folks! This is the first time I've felt confident enough in my abilities to offer up something for charity, so here we go.

So I'm offering a fic, minimum 1,000 words. Click on the butterfly to go to my thread!
