Rather a Story

In an effort to clean up my Fiction Master List I am making this post to house all the short fiction I wrote during last year's spn_las challenge. None of this is new fiction, feel free to ignore it.

Everything under the cut is 1,000 words or less, per the rules of the challenge.

Title: All Sales Final
Summary: It's never a fair exchange, no matter what Sam thinks. Written for the last round of spn_las.
Characters: Sam, demon OMC
Rating: PG13
Wordcount: 938
Disclaimer: If they belonged to me, the boys would hug more. Also, Sam would totally have hugged Cas in that last episode, because it would not have been awkward at all. Or it might have been awkward and I still would have made them hug.
Warnings: mild swearing, show-levels of violence.
Neurotic Author's Note #1: So this is it! The last round of spn_las, which was won by the fabulous and talented glasslogic. Seriously, her story is funny and awesome, go read it if you haven't already. I am very pleased to be runner-up in this. This was a big challenge that forced me to think outside the box a lot, given the nature of the prompts, pushed me outside my comfort zone a couple of times, and now it's over and I never ever have to do it again. Yay!
Neurotic Author's Note #2: As usual, I struggled with the prompt, and I think it showed this time. So the story is unbeta'd, as per comm rules, and more than a little rough around the edges.

Prompt/Summary: Written for the spn_las prompt "Never Ending." Dean makes the same choices, over and over and over again.

Summary: Written for the spn_las challenge. Lenore and Eli fight for their lives.
Characters: Lenore, Eli ("Blood Lust")

Disclaimer: I'd kind of like to have Lenore for my own, but alas, she doesn't belong to me either.
Warnings: Uh, socially responsible vampires? Implied violence.
Neurotic Author's Note #1: Written for the spn_las challenge. The prompt was "Life is life. Fight for it." ~Mother Theresa. This was a hell of a difficult prompt, because, well, it's kind of generic and applies in seventeen thousand different ways to SPN.
Neurotic Author's Note #2: Unbeta'd, obviously, since that's part of the challenge. Shameless exploitation of secondary characters for my own nefarious purposes, but I have always really liked Lenore (Amber Benson, mmm.) and am sad we never saw her again.
Neurotic Author's Note #3: I quite like what I did here, even if it was a bit rushed. Apparently others felt the same way, because I managed to win this round. Maybe it was because this time I didn't write a really wacky state of fugue only marginally comprehensible to people who'd seen the show. ;)

Neurotic Author's Note #2:Also, something from Charlie's POV was on my to-do list, so it was a way to kill two birds with one stone. Yes, I'm a little obsessed with that episode. I think this is the fourth fic in which I've referenced it, directly or indirectly.

Neurotic Author's Note #1: I am actually quite proud of this ficlet. I wasn't really inspired by the prompt at first, and so coming up with a new and interesting way in which to interpret it proved to be quite the challenge.
Neurotic Author's Note #2: I am also of the opinion that SPN's secondary characters sometimes get a bit neglected. I'm going to try to fix that.

I almost accidentally posted my spn_las contribution early, instead of posting the one from the challenge that already went by.

Maybe this whole "giving up coffee" thing wasn't such a good plan. :P
